Only a lazy person does not know about Japanese teriyaki sauce. Mostly it is bought ready made. But why pay more when you can make it at home with less financial expenditure?

I offer you a variation of teriyaki sauce that is very easy to make. You don't need any supernatural ingredients.

You can use this sauce to bake chicken and meat, to make stir-fry, to glaze a pork shank when roasting. You can use this sauce for many other things. Take it and use it.

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.

Stir to dissolve the cornstarch into the liquid. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly with a whisk, until the sauce boils and thickens.

Remove from heat and serve as desired.

The sauce can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to several months.
