Source: https://tanyachef.com/recipe/pickled-red-onions/Make the marinade. Combine water and vinegar in a saucepan. Add sugar and honey.
Bring to a boil and dissolve the sugar. Let cool a bit.
Slice the onions into thin rings or half rings. Place in the marinade.
Marinate for 15-20 minutes, or longer if desired.
Serve. I had some herring this time.
