This is a recipe for a very tasty, yet easy to make appetizer - hot smoked salmon rillettes. Simply put, it is spread on toast or crackers. This appetizer is great because you can make a bigger batch of it and eat it for 2-3 days. And it is a good backup treat in case of a sudden invasion of guests.

Instead of or along with dill, you can add green onions (or even better - chives, thin ones) or lemon zest in reasonable amounts.

Recipe:

Finely chop dill, mix with cream cheese, season with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Stir to combine.

Add salmon, shredded with a fork.

Stir to combine. Add more lemon juice to taste.

Serve on toast or crackers.
